One week to go….
A week today I’ll be setting off on my BMW R1200GS from Hull to Zeebrugge with a slightly arbitrary destination of Kozluören, a small village near Bursa in Western Turkey. I was there 33 years ago when I hitch hiked from Berlin to Beirut and I thought it would be nice to pop back for a cup of tea and see what’s changed, if anything.
It’s all Ian Byron’s fault. He wanted to go to Romania, which became Istanbul, which became Kozluören. Meanwhile Ian is sitting comfortably in retirement in Sompt and has to wash his hair so can’t make the trip.
